The Mortality of Mark Strng

Postby Mstaken » Thu Jul 21, 2011 9:00 am

Earlier this week I watched a video of the many deaths of Sean Bean. Seems there have been quite a few gruesome, grisly death scenes for SB.

After thinking about this, I realized that there were quite a few Mark Strong death scenes and decided to ask for help identifying them on this site. My list is by no means complete (or 100% correct) and in no particular order, I need your help

The Eagle
Robin Hood
Sherlock Homes
Stardust
Tristan & Isolde
Revolver
Some Safe Place
Sunshine
I’m sure there’s more. Anything else?

**I'm holding out on these two. Did we see him 'die'?? I don't think so.

-Sharpe's Mission (in which he costarred with the aforementioned Sean Bean)
-Sunshine (1999) although it is off camera

In looking at his list of credits, I realize, again, how much there is that I have yet to see! (Most of it hard to come by tv titles but I'm working on them!)

That Sean Bean Death Reel has really gone viral!

Don't forget one of my very favorite movies Kick Ass. Also, The Way Back, they completely skipped what happened to his character. Though the answer is obvious.

Ya know, I thought about The Way Back and almost added it. I didn't because we don't know for sure, although you're right we can probably assume. I did, however, completely forget about Kick-Ass! :o

In Robin Hood, he was shot through the throat with an arrow. Bit difficult to survive that!

In Sherlock Holmes, he was hung for the second time, this time without anything to prevent his neck breaking!

I'd say, as unfortunate as it was, he died in both films.

Hm. In Sharpe's Mission, he was pushed down a well... but maybe later he climbed back up the bricks?
Bit of a stretch, I know...

And I'm not entirely convinced that Sorter didn't survive being shot in "Revolver"... maybe he made it to an ER before bleeding out, or something. :D
